Ralph James Ward, Jr., 67, of Hendersonville passed away on July 7th, 2009.
He was the son of the late Ralph, Sr., and Mary Jackson Ward.
He was a native and life long resident of Henderson county and a member of Refuge Baptist Church. Ralph was the last person to graduate from Dana School. He was retired after 35 years of being self employed as a remodeling contractor. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Martha �Toot� Garrett Ward. He is also survived by two daughters, Lisa and husband Scott Stone of Hickory, NC and Gina and husband Robby Higgins of Hendersonville; two sisters, Barbara and husband Glenn Case of Charlotte, and Christine Fletcher of Dana; four grandchildren, Jesse, Haley, Hunter, and Lily, and several nieces and nephews.
He was a friend to many and a stranger to none.
A service will be held on Friday, July 10th, at 11:30 am at Refuge Baptist Church with Reverend Alvin Melton officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 9th, at Jackson Funeral Service from 6pm - 8pm.
