Evelyn Ashe Swayngim, 80, of Hendersonville, NC passed away Friday, July 11, 2008 at the Laurels of Hendersonville after a short illness.
She was preceded in death by her father, Luther T. Ashe, her mother Nina Alford Ashe Hall, her step-father, Earl Davis Hall, her husband of 52 years, Carl Henry Swayngim, brothers, Major Ashe, Bud and Jim Hall, sisters, Christine Dunn, Myrtle Ramey, Beatrice Shook, Sue Byous and Betty Wilder.
She is survived by two sons, Wayne Swayngim (Claire) of Hendersonville and Phil Swayngim (Norma) of Mills River; two daughters, Hope Dunn (Jim) of Fort Mill, SC and Robin Higgins of Hendersonville; two brothers, L.T. Ashe (Shirley) of Brevard and Bill Hall (Judy) of Hendersonville; two sisters, Carolyn Wilson (Jack) of Brevard and Linda Hogsed (Bruce) of Lake Toxaway, NC; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Eric Hardman officiating.
Memorials may be made to Four Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
