WELCOME
Shelia Ann Ledbetter Phillips, 44, of Dana, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Mission St. Joseph’s Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Glen Franklin Ledbetter Jr. and Pearly Jane Anders. She was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She loved to sew, cook, camp and fish. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother and a wonderful wife.
She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Ricky
Phillips of Dana; two daughters, Jennifer Phillips Lancaster and Ashley Phillips, both of
Dana; a grandson, Jaxon Cole Lancaster; a brother, Glen Ledbetter Jr; a half-brother,
George Ledbetter of Polk Co; a sister, Tina Biddix of East Flat Rock; an aunt, Nancy
Taylor of East Flat Rock; three cousins, Robbie Cowart of Balsam Grove, Toby Taylor of
Flat Rock and Bobby Taylor of East Flat Rock; two special nieces, Amanda Heatherly
and Bonnie Stahr; and several other nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 6:00 PM in the
Chapel in the Pines of Jackson Funeral Service with the Rev. David MacEachern
officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00-6:00 PM prior to the service. At
other times the family will be at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 120
Executive Park, Building One, Asheville, NC 28801.
