WELCOME
Charles James Norwood, 60, of Hendersonville, NC went to be with the Lord, Sunday, February 15, 2009 at the Elizabeth House.
He was a native and life long resident of Henderson County and the son of the late James Harrison Norwood and Ethel May Cox Norwood.
Charlie loved First Baptist Church and Special Friends Class where he served as class secretary and assistant leader. His most special friends were Chuck Lusk, Harry Williams and Cliff Dehond. We will miss him.
He is survived by his friend and caregiver, Sandra Walker and her family, Special Friends Class and neighbors on Harris Street.
A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at the Hendersonville First Baptist Church with Rev. Skip Fendley officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery.
Donations may be made to Four Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731 or to the Special Friends Class of Hendersonville First Baptist Church, 312 Fifth Avenue West, Hendersonville, NC 28739.
