Carroll Monroe Wagner
Carroll Monroe Wagner, 70, of Dana, NC passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at Mission Hospital after an extended illness.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County the son of the Carroll and Mary Orr Wagner and had recently lost his beloved German Shepherd "Heidi".
Carroll graduated from Dana High School in 1957, Gaston Tech in 1959 then served in the US Marines from 1961 to 1964 during the Vietnam Era then retired from Dupont after 33 years of service.
Carroll was a "Rock Hound" and loved fishing and woodworking.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Carolyn Hensley Wagner, his daughter, Shannon Maria Wagner of Dana and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 07, 2009 at Oakdale Cemetery with Rev. Jason Davis officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Henderson County Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends Thursday night from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at the funeral home and at other times will be at the home.
