Sue Nix Rhodes
Sue Nix Rhodes, 89, of Edneyville, NC went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, October 27, 2009.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County and a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.
She was the daughter of the late William Washington Nix and Fannie Enloe Nix and was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Eugene Rhodes, two brothers, Benny and Sam Nix and two sisters, Margie Freeman and Ila Boyd.
She was a terrific mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and dearly loved her family.
Surviving are her two sons, Terry E, Rhodes and his wife Patricia and their two sons, Bradley and Scott all of Edneyville and Kevin W. Rhodes and his wife Anita and their son and daughter, Bryan and Lori all of Edneyville; three brothers, Marion, Wayne and Jimmy Nix, four sisters, Nellie Jones, Janie Dill, Opal McMurray and Yvonne Moore; four great grandchildren, Mercedes, Brandon and Nathan Rhodes and Terri Nicole Ball and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, October 29, 2009
at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bryan Melton officiating.
The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at Jackson Funeral Service and at other times will be at her home.
