Etheleen Wall King
Etheleen Wall King, 88, of Hendersonville, NC went to be with the Lord Monday, August 17, 2009 at The Oaks in Brevard, NC after an extended illness.
She was the daughter of the late J.L. And Fannie May Wall and was preceded in death by her husband, Bud King, a daughter, Phyllis King, three brothers, Raymond, J.L. and Chris Wall and a sister, Edna Harper.
She attended and was a member of Crab Creek Baptist Church prior to her illness.
Etheleen will be remembered for her love for her family and gospel music. She was blessed with a beautiful voice and sang numerous solos but her most requested song was "Keep A Happy Heart".
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy King of Hendersonville; two sons, Glenn L. King and wife Lynn of Jacksonville, Florida and Ronald King and wife Faye of Zirconia, NC; two brothers, Bill and George Wall both of Jacksonville, Florida; two sisters, Angela Purvis of Jacksonville, Florida and Nell Walker of Warner Robbins, Georgia; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral Service will be held 3:00 pm Thursday, August 20, 2009 at Maranatha Baptist Church with Rev. Lewis Staton and Rev. Guy Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm Thursday prior to the service.
