WELCOME
Margaret Fischer McDaniel, 86, of Flat Rock, NC passed away Saturday, September 13, 2008 at her home after an extended illness.
She was the daughter of the late Ed and Erma Fischer and was preceded in death by her husband, James R. McDaniel, two sisters, Myrtice and Helen and two brothers, Asa and Hedrick.
She had lived in Henderson County for the past 32 years and was a member of Upward Kelly Memorial Church.
She loved making ceramics, going to the Curb Market and was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by a daughter, E. Jackie White of Flat Rock; three sons, Dennis Jackson of Lexington, MD, Larry Jackson of Welcome, MD and Jim McDaniel of Asheville, NC; two sisters, Millicient King of Flat Rock and Diane Sommers of Hastings, Florida; two brothers, Herbert Fischer of Hendersonville and Ray Fischer of St. Augustine, Florida; eleven grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, September 18, 2008 at the Upward Kelly Memorial Church Cemetery with Rev. Roger Bright officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Four Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
