WELCOME
Jeffery Allen Lyda, 47, of Hendersonville, NC passed away on May 14th, 2009 at
his home.
He was the son of Vallie June Butler Lyda Coren of Hendersonville and the late
George Lentz Lyda. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Marcia June Lyda Cooke
and a brother, Phillip Rodney Coren.
He graduated from East Henderson High School and owned and operated Green
Acres Lawn Care. He was a member of Jones Gap Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife, Kathy Elaine Hall Lyda; three sons,
Brandon Allen Lyda and Adam Lee Lyda both of Saluda, NC; a daughter, Samantha
Nicole Russow of Hendersonville; two grandchildren, Jason Alexander Russow of
Hendersonville and Natalie Summer Lackey of Hendersonville; two sisters, Karen Lyda
Strickland of Zirconia, NC and Wanda Lyda Edney of Hendersonville, NC; two brothers,
David Steven Lyda of Conover, NC and Lloyd Coren Jr. of Hendersonville and a mother-
in-law, Mary Viola Starner of Daytona Beach, Florida.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Monday, May 18, 2009 at Jones Gap Baptist
Church with Rev. Curtis Pace officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Gilead Baptist
Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm prior to
services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lions Club, PO Box 2093
Hendersonville, NC 28793.
