Crane Kendrick, 81, of Flat Rock, NC, died Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Four Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care.

Crane was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 18, 1928 to Joseph J. and Faye (Hite) Kendrick. He was a WWII and Korean veteran who graduated with an MBA from the University of Michigan and was part owner of Sinclair Manufacturing Co in Toledo, Ohio. Crane was an avid reader and writer who sailed and traveled extensively. He enjoyed life to the fullest and was loved by all those who knew him.

Crane is survived by his wife Kathryn; daughter, Lisa Carter and her husband, John Carter of Grosse Ile, MI; son, David Kendrick and his wife, Lisa Kendrick of Bluffton, SC; step-daughter, Cindy Circello and Daniel Ford of Greer, SC; step-son, Kenton Evans and his wife, Beverly Evans of Chambersburg, PA; and 10 grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, February 27, 2009 Jackson Funeral Service Chapel In The Pines at 2:00pm. Family will receive friends at the Chapel In The Pines one hour prior to the service. After the service family will be receiving visitors at the home from 5:00-7:00PM.
