WELCOME
Eleanor Linda Keenan, 74 of Saluda went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 25, 2009 at her residence.
She was the daughter of the late Thomas Keenan and Clara Webb Keenan.
She resided in Saluda for the past eight years, having moved here from Los Angles, California.
A university librarian, she served at UNC Chapel Hill, Cornell and California State University, Northridge.
She belonged to the Church of the Transfiguration, Saluda, where singing in the choir was one of her greatest joys. She loved to garden and always wanted to help others.
She was loved and will be truly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include: One son, Forrest Robson and his wife Susan of Raleigh, NC, two daughters, Elena Robson and her husband John Morgan of Saluda, NC and Leslie Gompf and her husband Bob of Austin, TX, six grandchildren, Neill and Jennifer Robson of Raleigh NC and Michael and Anna Baker and Liam and Peter Gompf of Austin, TX.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday at the Church of the Transfiguration, Saluda, at 11 with the Reverend Doctor Norma Hanson officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration, Saluda or to one’s favorite charity in Linda’s name.
