Jackson Funeral Service - Dorothy Osteen Hargus

Mrs. Dorothy Osteen Hargus, 95, formerly of Tuxedo, NC, passed away in Greensboro, NC Saturday, August 30, 2008 at Wesley Long Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Charles McDonald and Flora Tankersley Osteen who resided in Zirconia and was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Willie McKinley Hargus who resided in Tuxedo; two sons, William McKinley Hargus Jr. who resided in Flat Rock and Donald Charles Hargus who resided in Hendersonville; one grandson Bryan Hargus; two sisters, Callie Coggins, Irma Osteen and four brothers, Arthur, John, Paul and Charles Osteen.
She was a member of Tuxedo Baptist Church, she retired from the Cotton Mill in Tuxedo and was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County.
She is survived by two daughters, Mildred Hargus Hendricks of Greensboro, NC and Brenda Corn of Hendersonville; twelve grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, September 07, 2008 at Tuxedo Baptist Church with Rev. Michel Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home at other times the family will be at the home of Brenda and Harry Corn.
