Jackson Funeral Service - Geneva Kuykendall Halford

Geneva Kuykendall Halford, 85, of Fletcher, NC passed away on May 20th, 2009 at Park Ridge Hospital.

Geneva was thr daughter of the late Phillip Kuykendall and Ella Hill Kuykendall and was the wife of the late Jasper Halford. She was also preceded in death by a son Fred Halford, two brothers John and James Kuykendall and her sisters Mary Isabell and Virginia Jones. She was a artist who loved working with her hands to make her crafts and was a strong Christian woman who loved the Lord and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her two sons; Norman Halford and his wife Carolyn of Fletcher, and Marlon Halford and his wife Janet of Saluda, three daughters; Lillian Prewett and her husband Loyd of Sencea S.C Judy Miller and her husband Bill of Edneyville, and Peggy Wilson and her husband Roy of Gray Court SC, Twenty Four grandchildren, Thirty Great grandchildren, Two special nieces Etta and Lynn Lewis, a special friend Edith Cox and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 am at the Chapel in the Pines of Jackson Funeral Service with the Revs. Jack Hyde and James King officiating. Internment will follow the service at the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Flat Rock. The family will receive friends on hour prior to the service at the Chapel in the Pines.
