Rev. Charles Edward Frady, age 82 of Lexington, S.C. passed away Monday, March 09, 2009 at home.

Rev. Frady was born in Hoopers Creek, Henderson County, N.C. to Nelson and Jessie Crook Frady.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during WWII in Naples, Italy.

Rev. Frady formerly pastored Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Rainbow Baptist Church, Tracy Grove Baptist Church, and Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

His ministry also included numerous revivals in N.C., S.C., and Tenn. and four radio stations throughout the Carolinas.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret "Vicky" Watkins Frady and a son Tony Frady.

He is survived by two sons, Kenneth Frady and wife Beverly, of Lexington S.C. and Jerry Frady of Hendersonville, N.C. One sister, Betty Lois Pace, a sister-n-law Peggy Frady, Grandchildren, Tammy Arrowood, Kevin Frady, Kreg Frady, and Jeremy Frady and eight Great Grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, March 13, 2009 at Naples Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Landers officiating. Burial will follow at Shepherd Memorial Park with Military Rites conducted by the Henderson County Honor Guard.

Family will receive friends Thursday night from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Jackson Funeral Service of Hendersonville, NC.

The family wishes to express their love and gratitude to Rev. Frank Landers, our brother in Christ, for his love and friendship to Rev. Frady. Rev. Frady loved him as a son.
