Otis Luster Cooper, 88, of Hendersonville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 10, 2008, at the Laurels of Hendersonville.
He was the son of the late Leslie and Rebecca Curtis Cooper. He served in the US Army during World War II.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marguerite Ferguson Cooper; three sons, Ronnie Cooper of Dayton, OH, Ed Cooper of Ohio, and Ken Cooper of Kentucky; two daughters, Janet Weissinger and Shirley Ball; a step-daughter, Janice Montgomery of Hendersonville; two sisters, Jessie Corda and Georgie Caudill of Moorehead, KY; a host of grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 11:00 am in the Chapel in the Pines of Jackson Funeral Service with the Rev. Mike Engle officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by the Henderson County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 12, 2008 from 6:30-8:00 pm at the funeral home.
