Betty Lee (Howard) Carrier, 86, of Hendersonville, North Carolina died Thursday, March 4, 2009 in Hickory, NC.
She was born in Detroit, Michigan (July 14, 1922) to the late Homer and Ethel Howard; grew up in Indiana and relocated to Ft. Lauderdale, FL where she married and raised three sons. As a happy retired couple they relocated to Hendersonville, NC and more recently to Hickory, NC. Married for over 60 years, she is survived by her husband, Herbert E. Carrier, (85) and three sons: Michael Howard Carrier of Mims, FL; William Roy Carrier of Moravian Falls, NC; and Peter Chrisfield Carrier of Lawrenceville, GA; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the Chapel in the Pines of Jackson Funeral Service of Hendersonville, NC at 1:00pm. The family will receive friends at the Chapel 1 hour prior to the service.
Internment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Hendersonville, NC.
She will be forever in our hearts.
